... I still enjoy living in windswept Morecambe with my husband after relocating him and our cats north from London in 2016, before we got too old.
Dreaming as a child of becoming an author, I didn’t get my first novel, Rising to the Surface, out until 2007 as I was crippled by Perfectionism. This has worn off. While waiting for it to wear off, I did a variety of jobs in the UK and abroad.
Back in the UK and acting as a mental health advocate for OCD-sufferers, I was commissioned to write the non-fiction book: The Essential Guide to OCD: Help for Families and Friends (LionHudson, 2013).
In 2024 I published an antidote to annoying Christmas bragging ‘Round Robins’, From London Houseboat to Morecambe Mansion. The book was requested because my grumpy festive newsletters made people laugh a lot, despite Christmas.
I am grateful that readers have also given good feedback to my 2025 spoof detective novel: The Cannes Affair. The story is set in a neglected mansion on the glam Cote d'Azur and features a cast of eccentric characters - steered by a cunning dog.
My poems lurk in several anthologies and I have a portfolio of published magazine articles, some self-illustrated.
Beside writing, reading and painting, I foster cats for L&MCR charity, learn Latin and guitar (separately) and renovate house-wrecks. Running also features, as does enjoyment of Art, cake, Chess and performing StandUp.
I feel blessed by our ever-changing glorious view across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Fells.
